ACTS is the only recognized non-Catholic organization of PSHS and is in charge of all religious activities for non-Catholics. It started as a student-led movement seeking to follow in the footsteps of Christ.
Since its establishment in 2007, AKSIS has focused in developing, promoting and inspiring social consciousness in PSHS-MC. It sponsored many activities in the past, particularly SIGAW, TUGON, summer camps, and leadership talks. Aside from being a social science club, AKSIS is also a leadership club. Here, people are envisioned to become better leaders.
“Ultimate Frisbee is a player defined and controlled non-contact team sport played with a flying disc on a playing surface with end zones in which all actions are governed by the ‘Spirit of the Game’. An organization created to teach students and bring everyone together using Ultimate Frisbee, Alianti wishes to instill four values to every aspiring Ultimate player; passion, teamwork, spirit and excellence.”
The Astronomical Society has been regarded as one of the most active and fun clubs in Pisay. It also has been known for having the most number of members in Pisay history. With this, Astrosoc promises it can provide you with the one of the best times in your Pisay life.
The ATOM Club is the club made for Chemistry enthusiasts within the PSHS community. It aims to give these students a new perspective on viewing Chemistry as a subject and a science, as well as provides these students an opportunity to learn more about the subject.
Bravura, the PSHS Ensemble, is the club where instrumentalists all over the school collaborate in order to show off their musical talents doing pieces of various difficulty and genre while at the same time learning from other members. Bravura lets the students share their own style and flavor to the instrument pool to give a more unique experience to each player.
The Concern and Action for the Rehabilitation of the Environment or fondly known as CARE is the official club for the environment. Bringing awareness to the community, saving the environment and appreciating the wonders of nature are the core goals of the club.
This is an organization that encourages skills and knowledge in computer science. Its main objective is to help students and to give more education in this field.
Himig Agham is the official school choir. It comprises of vocally talented students who enjoy singing with a group. “Himig” has performed in a variety of venues and events such as Pres. GMA’s farewell luncheon, the school’s many fundraisers, and concerts.
Invictus is the debate/forensics team of the school. It is a member of the Interscholastic Debate Association, a debate league in Metro Manila. It is also active in joining the Philippine Schools Debate Championship and the Asian Schools Debate Championship. Students interested in intellectual discourse, critical thinking, and public speaking are welcome to join.
Ang nag-iisang Pinoy club ng Pisay, ang Kamalayan ay maaaring salihan ng mga mag-aaral na may talento o pagnanais na matuto sa pag-arte (salamin), balagtasan o pagsulat (pilantik) sa wikang Filipino. Ito ay isa ring club na maaaring pasukan ng mga mag-aaral na nahihirapan sa pagkuha ng mataas na marka sa Filipino dahil nagbibigay ang Kamalayan ng karagdagang puntos sa mga aktibong kasapi.
Laab is the girls’ soccer club of PSHS-Main. It is a dedicated group that meets every Wednesday to train and play soccer. Their aim is to let female students with a passion for soccer, whether professional or newbie, join together and enjoy the sport of soccer.
This club aims to provide weekly football games and training to any student interested in joining. The club is open to all males and aims to represent the school in various football competitions and tournaments. Lastly, the club aims to teach students the values of camaraderie, teamwork and unity through the beautiful game of football.
Ang Lagablab ay ang opisyal na pahayagan sa Filipino. Ito ay ang nagsisilbing boses ng mga estudyante ukol sa mga isyung nagaganap sa Pisay at sa Pilipinas. Ang pangunahing layunin ng Lagablab ay maiparating sa mga mag-aaral ang mga balita nang walang maling impormasyon upang mapanatili ang pagiging makatotohanan ng pamamahayag.
MaSKara – Mga artista ng Sining at Kultura. Sila’y nandito upang sindihan ang kamalayan ng mga tao sa mga nangyayari sa bayan at kumatok sa mga puso upang pukawin ang damdaming makabayan ng bawat isa.
Math Club is one of the biggest, most premiere clubs in PSHS. It is a place to meet friends, have fun, develop the love for math, and most especially, get that needed MATH BONUS by helping out! You may not like math, but math club would sure like to have you!
Kimura Kai Muay / MMA Club
The Kimura Kai Muay is a club that serves as the official Mixed Martial Arts club of the school. Here, you will be taught Muay Thai as your base striking martial art. Muay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand which makes use of punches, kicks, elbows, and knee strikes, leading it to be called the “Art of Eight Limbs.” They may also teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, a ground based martial art, to more advanced students.
The Physics Youth Honor Society is the school’s official Physics club. PYHS holds review sessions for students who are having difficulties with Physics. It also gives bonuses to members who actively participate in activities, especially during YMSAT week.
Red Cross Youth
The basic aim of the Youth Council is to work with the Philippine National Red Cross, Quezon City Chapter to develop among the youth the spirit of humanitarianism and social service by giving them opportunities to participate in relevant Red Cross activities within the framework of the organization.
SaGala (Sayaw at Galaw) is the dance varsity of the school. The club performs for many school events such as the fair, 2nd year fashion show, Paskorus, etc. Although specializing in streetdance, SaGala invites all those who think they’ve got the potential to step it up and take it to the dance floor to audition.
The “Samahan ng mga Peryodista, Artista at Kartunista ng Pisay” or SAPAK Pisay is a cultural organization dedicated to the development of the Philippine Science scholars’ sense of nationalism, service to the country and commitment to the pursuit of truth by advocating freedom of expression and awareness of social issues.
SARS+ is not a club just for those who revere STR. It is open to 2nd to 4th year students. SARS helps sophomores prepare for their STR and encourages juniors and seniors to better appreciate their researches through out of town trips and talks. It also helps students by giving bonus points to active members.
Student Catholic Action is not just a club; it is a ministry. It tries to help students enrich their spiritual selves through fun-filled activities such as Kyut Camps, Adventure Camps and field trips. It also holds doctrine classes for a deeper understanding of the Catholic Faith. It is the organization responsible for conducting regular Catholic masses. Furthermore, SCA lends a hand in facilitating retreats and recollections.
The Science Scholar is the official English publication. Run by students and its school paper adviser, Mr. Mark Pol Castro, it aims to bring the most accurate, updated, and scholarly written news to the Philippine Science High School community.
The Student Alliance is the official student government of Pisay, consisting of officers elected by the students themselves. They represent the student body in internal and external affairs and create projects for the benefit of the community.
